Astrocamp

Introduction

Astro-Camps are held in the Dryandra Forest at new moon in March and October, enabling members to observe the best of the summer and winter skies away from the city lights under dark skies. Astro-Camps are weekends of viewing, daytime workshops, guided bird and flora walks, very serious discussions on the cosmos late into the night, socialising and fun. Camps are held at other dark-sky venues as and when possible.

Solar viewing is always popular at camp, indoor and outdoor workshops are diverse, and telescopes of all shapes and sizes can be seen on the viewing field.
